Your support enables us to share the legacy of 98-year-old Ashley Bryan. We are focused on
ensuring the life of his Storyteller Pavilion on Islesford, adding a room to replicate his
famously welcoming dining room. To celebrate his centennial year, 2023, we are ensuring
institutions, especially those in Maine, have collections of Ashley’s work, and assisting groups
planning shows to celebrate the man and his artistic achievements. In 2023, we hope to also
continue distribution of our special edition of Ashley’s Beautiful Blackbird. For more
information about what we do with your support, visit our UPDATE page.
The Center would also appreciate help in locating items pertaining to Ashley
Bryan’s life and work, including, but not limited to, paintings, drawings, illustrations,
posters, prints, letters, poems and manuscripts. Digital images of any of these items would be
most helpful to us and the Kislak Center in futhering our mission.
If you do have work of Ashley’s you might be interested in loaning or donating, under
your name, to an interested museum, please let us know so that we might enable a
connection.
